Fennel can reach 180 cm in height and has delicate and peculiarly shaped leaves. The history of fennel dates back to ancient times, when Roman warriors were said to consume fennel to be strong and ready for battle. It is known for its strong scent and licorice flavor, but also for its ability to relieve digestive problems and monthly menstrual cycles.
