Coriandum sativum, better known as coriander, is an annual herbaceous plant from the countries of the Mediterranean Sea belonging to the family of the umbelliferae which also includes cumin, of thedill, del fenneland del parsley.

Coriander has therapeutic properties mainly due to the essential oil also contained in dried seeds: thanks to its antiseptic characteristics it favors an anti-fermentative action in the intestine, eliminating air and reducing abdominal spasms.
